This is the Start: Redefining Success, One Post at a Time

In this first blog post, I share my honest struggles with self-doubt and vulnerability around starting a personal blog. Content creation has always intrigued me, but stepping outside my comfort zone to begin wasn’t easy. More than chasing traditional success markers, I’m exploring what it truly means to grow, create, and show up authentically in life. This blog is my personal experiment — a space to learn, reflect, and connect with others on a similar journey.

Cheers to the First Post!

I’ll be honest — starting this blog was never something I imagined myself doing.

I’ve always been a bit self-conscious, especially about putting myself out there online. The idea of someone judging my content — or worse, forming their entire impression of me based on a single post — felt both embarrassing and, honestly, intimidating. And of all the ways to share, writing felt the most vulnerable.

Yet, despite all that hesitation, I’ve always been drawn to the world of content creation. Whether it was someone’s blog, a YouTube video, or a thought-provoking LinkedIn post — I’d find myself admiring their ability to share so openly. There was something freeing about it. And maybe, deep down, I was a little jealous. Not in a bitter way, but in that “I wish I could do that too” kind of way.

For years, I kept telling myself: just go for it. Get uncomfortable. Try.

Because truthfully, every time I’ve stepped outside my comfort zone, I’ve grown. It’s how I ended up wearing many hats over the years — as a managed care pharmacist, freelance consultant, real estate agent, and occasional speaker at podcasts and educational events.

Each of those roles pushed me to show up in new ways. And while they’ve all shaped different parts of me, the common thread through it all has been curiosity and a willingness to stretch just a bit further than what’s comfortable.

So why was content creation so hard to start?

It wasn’t the medium. It wasn’t a lack of ideas.

It was just me — my own self-doubt, my own fear of being “seen.”

Then one day, I came across a YouTuber who said something simple, but so true:

“Just start your channel, blog, or site — because honestly, no one’s going to see it at first anyway.”

It sounds silly, but that really stuck with me. The pressure melted a little. I realized I didn’t need it to be perfect or polished — I just needed to begin.

Welcome to My Little Experiment

And so… here we are. Welcome to my little personal experiment — my own corner of the internet.

Maybe no one will read this, and that’s okay. Because even if it’s just me here, reflecting and writing, that’s already a win. This is a space for me to learn, grow, and document the process.

What You'll Find Here

If you’ve checked out my About Me page, you’ll know that this blog is a personal experiment — a space to try something new, reflect on the journey, and hopefully move closer to understanding what success really means.

And if you haven’t, here’s a quick glimpse:

Like many of us, I grew up with a traditional view of success:
Go to a good school. Land a stable job. Buy a home. Become financially secure. Save enough to retire comfortably.

While those milestones are meaningful, I’ve started to wonder — is that all there is?

What if success is also about who we become along the way, how we grow, what we create, and how we choose to show up in the world?

That’s what this blog is about — a space to reflect on both my professional journey and personal growth. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Reflections from my journey as a managed care pharmacist — venturing beyond traditional community or hospital roles.

  • Insights into the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) space — and the challenges we face with rising drug costs and complex benefit design.

  • Guidance for homebuyers and sellers navigating real estate — and ideas for building long-term, generational wealth.

  • Perspectives on self-awareness, personal development, and stepping outside our comfort zones — and why building a personal brand with authenticity matters.

Still Unfolding

Honestly, this is all still unfolding — and that’s kind of the point.

This site isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about making space to figure things out and being willing to share that process authentically.

And if you’ve made it this far — thank you. I hope something here speaks to you.

If you're navigating a similar path or wrestling with the same questions, I encourage you to take that step outside your comfort zone. And if this space resonates with you, let’s connect. I’d love for you to stick around.

Key Points:

  • Starting is the hardest part — especially when self-doubt is loud: Writing and sharing publicly can feel vulnerable, but growth often begins when we’re willing to step outside our comfort zone.

  • Content creation is a personal challenge and creative outlet: Admiring others who share openly inspired the desire to contribute something of your own — not out of competition, but curiosity and courage.

  • Success isn’t one-size-fits-all: Traditional milestones matter, but fulfillment also comes from personal growth, reflection, and choosing how you show up in the world.

  • This blog is a living experiment: It’s not about having everything figured out — it’s about creating space to learn, explore different passions, and share the journey authentically.
